August 2019 – Comic Pick of the Month

With Marvel Phase 4 now in production, some of the movies in their line-up are creating huge surges in comic prices. The Marvel Cinematic Universe aka MCU is famous for taking unknown characters and infamous storylines and presenting them on the big screen. Such is the case of Jack Kirby’s Eternals.

The Eternals comic was written by Jack Kirby in 1976. Presently Vol 1 of the series is already fetching in three digit figures since the rumors of the movie were confirmed. With top box office actors like Angelina Jolie expected to star in the movie, anticipation among fans is high.

Which brings us to the comic pick of the month. As the Silver age comic Eternals #1 is presently rising in price, we recommend picking up Vol 2 of the series. This comic was released in 1985 and is still relatively affordable to purchase. It is part of a 12-issue limited comic set, so you could pickup the entire set of twelve issues for less than the price of the silver age comic. So if you don’t have some extra dollars to spend on the Silver age issue, picking up Volume 2 would be our best suggestion.

As this is a bronze age issue, Hicollector recommends picking it up at 8.0 or better.
