HiCollector is one of Hawaii’s local collectible dealers, proudly serving collectors throughout the Aloha State. Our story began in 2001, when we operated as Illusions Glassworks, supplying glass collectibles to stores throughout Oahu on a consignment basis.
Like many small businesses, we faced challenges during the economic downturn. Those challenges pushed us to rethink our business, diversify our products, and find new ways to grow. We expanded our selection, changed our name, and HiCollector was born.
A NEW DIRECTION
With a new name and a much broader product selection, HiCollector relaunched with a different approach. Instead of operating primarily as a middleman supplying other retailers, we began selling directly to collectors.
We took our products wherever collectors gathered—local shows, swap meets, flea markets, community events, and other venues throughout Hawaii. Meeting customers face-to-face helped shape HiCollector into a business built not simply around selling collectibles, but around helping people find the collectibles they love.

In 2016, HiCollector reached an important milestone when we opened our first brick-and-mortar store at the Dillingham Trade Center in Honolulu.

As HiCollector continued to grow, we expanded with a kiosk at Pearlridge Center, giving collectors another convenient place to shop our changing selection of collectibles and unique finds.

THE HICOLLECTOR MISSION
One of the most important things we want to accomplish at HiCollector is helping collectors find their niche. Every collector knows the feeling of searching for that one particular item. Finding it can take weeks, months, or even years, and searching through stores, websites, shows, marketplaces, and listings can quickly become frustrating and time-consuming.

From our beginnings as Illusions Glassworks in 2001, to selling at shows and swap meets, to opening our Dillingham store and expanding to Pearlridge Center, our business has continued to evolve along with Hawaii’s collecting community.
Today, HiCollector brings together collectibles, retail locations, local events, and the people who make collecting fun. We believe collecting is about more than simply owning something. It’s about the excitement of the search, finally finding that piece you’ve been looking for, discovering something you didn’t even know you wanted, and being part of a community of people who share the same passion.
