Wein, who was also co-creator of Swamp Thing and revived many Marvel and DC superheroes, died on Sept. 10. Wein was sixty-nine (69).<\/p>\n
Known as the co-creator of Wolverine (along with John Romita Sr and Herb Trimpe), he had a hand in co-creating other well known comic characters such as Storm, Nightcrawler and Colossus.<\/p>\n
Wein was first a fan before he started working in comics.\u00a0 He used to tour the DC facilities before he started working in the comic industry.\u00a0 Then in 1968 Wein was hired to work on the DC Comics’ Teen Titans. \u00a0His Teen Titans\u2019 story \u201ceye of the beholder\u201d was his first official professional work.\u00a0 It would be in the early 1970s, that Wein would co-create the antiheroes Wolverine and Swamp Thing for Marvel and DC Comics respectively.<\/p>\n
Originally aspiring to be an artist, Wein was hired as freelance writer.\u00a0 His background in art would be his inspiration for his scripts helping artist visual his stories.\u00a0 Len Wein’s career in comics would span several decades writing stories for different heroes such as Daredevil, Batman, Green Lantern and several others.<\/p>\n
